This is a really gritty crossover ep between electronic music and jazz that fills my heart with delight. Sometimes it is almost free-form. Like in 'I wish I had the nerve to call you mine'. The second track is epic with piano-samples that moves the floor beneath you and evokes an intense feel in me. You spot grooves that unravel while not being certain whish direction the song goes. It is a 'time stopper'.
The third 'untitled' track is probably the most classic of the crop. Moving lazily between Hip Hop, funky bassleads and cleaver use of orchestral samples, it would be the background track for your fave rapper to die for. The EP ends with two tracks that makes no attempt to tie together the story. The relaxed 'Like a genie I will slip into your heart' coupled with the modern afro-electro 'Finale' are nearly musical opposites.
The sound is raw and live. It will most certainly provoke listeners who want polished tracks, but for music-lovers, this is new shit for our ears.
